You'll be joining a large FMCG company operating across the UK and Ireland. The business operates modern food manufacturing facilities and places a strong focus on quality, food safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
About you
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline
- Significant experience in a Technical Management or Senior Technical role within food manufacturing
- Experience within meat processing would be highly advantageous
- Proven experience managing and developing Quality Management Systems
- Qualified HACCP Team Leader
- Internal Auditor training with extensive external audit experience
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS, food safety legislation, HACCP, TACCP and VACCP
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Ability to influence, challenge and support decision-making at all levels
What you'll do
- Lead and manage the site's Technical, Quality and Food Safety functions
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS, customer, retailer and regulatory requirements
- Lead HACCP, Food Safety Culture and Quality Improvement programmes
- Manage internal, customer, regulatory and third-party certification audits
- Drive corrective and preventative actions arising from audits, non-conformances and complaints
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to operational and management teams
- Manage customer relationships on quality, food safety and technical compliance matters
- Lead, develop and coach the technical team
- Support continuous improvement, change management and wider site initiatives
