The Role
As a Senior Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, overseeing end-to-end order processing, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams. You will ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting customer retention and renewals, and contributing to the wider commercial function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts, building strong and lasting relationships to support customer retention and long-term account growth.
- Process customer orders from initial enquiry through to fulfilment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Act as the primary contact for customer queries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with internal departments including sales, logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth order management.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, and order documentation within CRM/ERP systems.
- Prepare reports on order status, account activity, sales performance metrics, and customer account trends.
- Support account growth by identifying opportunities for upselling, renewals, retention initiatives, and service improvements.
- Monitor stock availability and liaise with suppliers/customers regarding lead times and delivery schedules.
- Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and maximise account value.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales administration, order processing, account management, or customer retention role.
- Strong experience managing customer accounts and coordinating high-volume orders.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building abilities.
- Proficient in CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and an understanding of retention best practices.
