Vanrath are working with a global leader in the apparel industry who is looking to add an experienced Regional Procurement Manager to their team at their manufacturing facility in Derry. The role is critical in driving the optimization of procurement strategies across Europe and ensuring the continuous improvement of their supply chain operations. Top 3 Things to Know About This Job: Leadership Role: Manage and develop a dynamic European procurement team, overseeing procurement strategies for production facilities and regional offices. Impactful Strategy: You will directly influence the supply chain by negotiating contracts, optimizing processes, and driving cost-saving initiatives. Global Exposure: Work in collaboration with various internal functions and global teams to ensure the efficiency and success of procurement operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the European Procurement team, designing and executing procurement strategies across multiple production sites and offices. Negotiate supply agreements in line with company contract templates, ensuring risk management, legal, and treasury teams are involved where necessary. Mitigate supply chain risks by qualifying multiple sources and optimizing the overall supply chain. Foster strong supplier relationships and collaborate with global supply chain teams to track and improve supply chain efficiency. Partner with various functions (Operations, Technical, Logistics, Business, Finance, Treasury, Trade) to identify and drive cost optimization and process improvements. Report on procurement performance and cost savings, ensuring alignment with company policies, internal controls, and legal requirements. Drive continuous improvement within procurement processes, promoting best practices and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers. Essential Requirements: Bachelor\’s degree in business administration, Finance, Procurement, or a related field. 5 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain roles, with leadership or team management experience. Proven experience in the procurement of both indirect (MRO, Services, Supplies) and direct materials (Raw Materials, Packaging, Energy). Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly in procurement, and a solid understanding of the Requisition to Pay process. Strong organisational, analytical, and negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail and a demonstrated ability to work across functions. Knowledge of international trade practices and the ability to negotiate critical procurement terms. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Desirable Qualifications: Experience with SAP P2P and SAP Ariba, particularly in international or cross-regional environments. CIPS Procurement and Supply certification. Familiarity with BI and/or Power-BI for data analysis.
