Client
Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Building company delivering high quality construction projects across the UK and Ireland. Innovation, quality, integrity and professionalism are the cornerstones of the business which is renowned for its personal, hands-on style.
Overview of Role:
- Negotiating and appointing sub-contractors to schemes
- Managing sub-contractor packages from appointment to final account
- The submission of all valuations and variations on schemes
- Providing monthly cost reports in line with project budgets
- Building close working relationships with Contracts Managers and Site teams to deliver quality projects
- Carrying out measurement checks
The Ideal Person:
- Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- The ability to plan, organise and prioritise and work to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
- High level of Commercial awareness
- Ability to work within a fast-paced office environment
- Sound estimating skills with negotiation experience of confirming, agreeing, and pricing variations
- Good working knowledge of construction contracts such as JCT/NEC/PWC contracts
- Proficient IT skills
- Full valid driving licence
