A great opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and globally recognised manufacturing business as a Quality Engineer. This role offers the chance to work within a high-performing production environment, supporting quality standards across both products and processes.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the quality function. You will work closely with both customers and internal teams to resolve quality issues, drive improvements, and ensure compliance across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production teams and customers on all quality-related matters
- Manage the product approval process, including FAIR validation and audits
- Drive and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Oversee the Material Review Board (MRB) process for returned goods
- Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with standards
- Contribute to new product and process development (NPI/NPD) activities
- Support the implementation and auditing of the Quality Management System
- Ensure all products meet quality sign-off requirements
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to carry out root cause analysis and implement solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience in fabrication and assembly environments (desirable)
- Ability to apply problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in a quality-focused role
