We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our client's team in Derry. This role is crucial in ensuring that finished goods meet stringent quality standards and are ready for shipment in line with the company's quality policy. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive manufacturing towards world-class quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to safe working practices, including the proper use of PPE and compliance with Health & Safety policies.
- Conduct random in-process inspections across manufacturing processes.
- Perform first-piece approval and pallet release tasks as required.
- Escalate quality exceptions to the Shift Quality Lead.
- Raise quality alerts and label suspect products appropriately.
- Support traceability activities and manage product containment efforts in collaboration with SQL and manufacturing teams.
- Carry out BD end-of-batch measurements and retrieve or replace retain samples as needed.
- Assist with other quality-related tasks as directed by the Shift Quality Lead.
Essential Criteria
- Academic qualifications in Maths and English.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of production, quality, and hygiene systems.
