Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Painter to join their property maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and refurbishing properties across the local area, ensuring they are finished to a high standard and ready for new occupants. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and improvement of public sector housing and facilities, working within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out painting and decorating works within residential and communal properties, primarily focused on change-of-tenancy projects.
- Undertake a range of painting tasks including full paint outs, staining door edges and saddles, and painting fences, doors, and other internal/external surfaces.
- Ensure all works are completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including proper use of PPE/RPE and safe handling of materials.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to plan and prioritise daily workloads.
Essential Criteria
- 1-5 years' experience in painting and decorating.
- Proven experience working within a public sector or property maintenance environment.
- Basic IT proficiency (for completion of job sheets and communication).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- AccessNI Basic Check required prior to start.
