Client: Our client is an award-winning Main Contractor that specialise in high end hotel and residential fitout projects. They work collaboratively with their clients to ensure efficient project delivery and minimum disruptions to operations. They have a flexible and innovative can-do approach which allows them to continually exceed client expectations and this has led to an enviable portfolio of repeat business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and update detailed project programmes in line with project requirements (procurement, construction, fit-out, handover)
- Prepare short-term and long-term programmes
- Collaborate to develop construction/fit out sequences, ensuring the most constructive method is adopted
- Monitor project progress and update programmes as necessary to ensure successful completion on schedule and within budget
- Advise the project team on potential impacts, risks and improvement opportunities
- Define resource requirements to support programme delivery
- Liaise with designers, project team, procurement, contractors, suppliers and clients to track progress, resolve issues and ensure programme is being met
- Highlight emerging issues and trends for proactive resolution
- Prepare progress reports to provide to Senior Management Team
- Adopt a Continuous Improvement approach to processes and practices
The Ideal Person:
- Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
- Relevant experience in a construction / fit-out planning role
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Have extensive knowledge and experience of fit-out processes and materials and developing construction / fit-out programmes, including design and procurement processes
- Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office and project management software (MS Project, Primavera or similar)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to build relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
- A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and duties
- Continually seeking ways to improve, adapt and innovate while meeting compliance and commercial requirements
- Experience of producing timely reports for Senior Management level
