About you:
- Possess at least 1 year of recent payroll processing experience in a computerised environment
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax, national insurance, and pension administration
- Knowledge of Local Government Terms and Conditions is highly desirable

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll systems
- Demonstrates a professional, courteous approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll do:
- Ensure timely payment of salaries, wages, and allowances to staff and elected members in accordance with relevant regulations
- Prepare and validate payroll data, including variable hours, deductions, and statutory payments
- Maintain accurate employee records and process all changes such as new starts, leavers, and rate adjustments
- Manage pension records and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines
