VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice with offices across County Fermanagh and Tyrone to recruit a Part-Time Payroll Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking flexibility, autonomy, and exposure to a varied client base across both the UK and Republic of Ireland.
The Role
This is a part-time position (2-3 days per week) offering flexibility around working hours to suit the successful candidate. You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across both UK and ROI payrolls.
What You Will Do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of UK and ROI clients
- Administer payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis
- Ensure compliance with UK and Irish payroll legislation, including RCT and CIS schemes
- Process starters, leavers, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
- Handle payroll queries from clients in a professional and timely manner
- Submit RTI filings and relevant Irish Revenue submissions
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Liaise with HMRC and Irish Revenue where required
- Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems

Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll processing across UK and/or ROI
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, with exposure to Irish payroll highly desirable
- Experience with RCT and CIS schemes is essential
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and client-focused approach
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Experience with payroll software and cloud-based systems
