Painter (Public Sector) Are you looking for aPainter role? Interested in working for a Public Sector organisation? VANRATH are assisting a major Public Sector organisation with the recruitment of a Painter in Coleraine. The role will initially run for around for between 3-6 months, with this highly likely to be extended, this proves to be a great opportunity. Responsibilities Carry out as directed the full range of work associated with their particular trade. Specific duties: To apply paint, stain, varnish, primers, sealers and fungicidal solution as and when required to timber, metal, plaster and masonry work etc To carry out any required preparation by stripping, sanding, wire brushing to maintain doors, door frames, windows, timber, metal and masonry etc. To remove and refit fixtures and fittings, ironmongery as required. To fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knifes. Carry out a range of minormulti-skilled tasks and maintenance work outside of trade without reliance on other trades for example: Plastering Joinery Plumbing Non slip flooring Tiling To carry out reactive/planned maintenance work in any council property. To work from painting schedule/specification where required. To identify, order and collect materials as required. The Ideal Person Have successfully completed an apprenticeship in Painting/Decorating (either time served or skills based) 2 years' post Apprenticeship Painting/Decorating experience* Have a full, current driving licence which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland, or, have access to a form of transport which enables them to carry out the duties of the post in full.
