About you
- Proven experience in a HSE advisory or leadership role within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification (desirable)
- Membership of IOSH or similar professional body (desirable)
What you'll do
- Lead and continually improve the organisation's HSE management systems, ensuring compliance and best practice.
- Act as a visible safety champion, promoting a positive safety culture through training, engagement, and behavioural safety initiatives.
- Support operational teams in embedding HSE requirements into daily processes and decision-making.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
- Manage environmental compliance activities, including waste management and sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programmes to enhance employee awareness and competency.
- Monitor HSE performance metrics and prepare reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Support audits for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification and ensure documentation remains audit-ready.
