VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Buyer for a leading Global Manufacturing organisation. This proves to be a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career and widen their knowledge in a Global organisation that places immense value on their staff. This role will be Hybrid working - Office is based in Omagh (Initial settling period in office) - after settled - 2 days at home and 3 in office.

Salary: Negotiable Base Salary + Fantastic Benefits Package - Yearly Salary Reviews - Discretionary Bonuses & Progression Opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule production parts to meet daily demand.
  • Execute Sales & Operations Plans (S&OP).
  • Manage and develop supplier relationships.
  • Release orders based on current demand.
  • Lead tenders, sourcing, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Implement cost reduction projects.
  • Provide monthly supplier forecasts from S&OP data.
  • Improve forecasting for long lead, optional, and Kanban items.
  • Deliver timely reports highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Drive supplier performance and challenge lead times.
  • Analyze stock vs. E&O reports and recommend actions.
  • Support supplier alignment with production, quality, and cost goals.
  • Manage supplier pricing, scheduling, and implementation of engineering changes.
  • Ensure accurate supplier pricing records.

The Ideal Person:

  • Experience of a Purchasing/Buyer role or Material Planning role.
  • Demonstrate experience of SAP, Oracle or other MRP systems.
  • Good mathematical & analytical skills.
