About You
You will bring:
- Excellent Excel and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail
- A good understanding of accounting principles and journals
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Required / Preferred Experience:
- Essential: Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
- Essential: Experience using an ERP system (preferably Microsoft AX or Dynamics)
- Essential: Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Desirable: AAT qualified, ATI qualified, or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and month-end processes
- Exposure to management accounts preparation and financial analysis
- Experience supporting AP and AR functions
- Knowledge of VAT and audit processes
Other Requirements:
- Some travel may be expected
- Must have employment rights to work in the UK
What You'll Do
- Assist with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of management accounts and monthly reporting packs
- Assist with financial analysis, including margin, overhead and performance reporting
- Maintain and improve financial models and spreadsheets used for business reporting
- Support VAT, Intrastat and audit requirements
- Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve queries and improve processes
- Assist with finance projects and process improvement initiatives as required
