We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing business based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or manufacturing leader to join a fast-paced, high-performing environment with a strong package and excellent benefits.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading shift operations, driving team performance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are achieved across production.
The Role
- Lead and motivate production teams within a busy manufacturing operation, ensuring targets are achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Play a key role in driving production performance and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high quality and food safety standards.
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Manage staffing, productivity, and shift performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth operations.
Working Pattern
- 39 hours per week
- Week 1 - Days: Monday-Thursday: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Friday: 7:00am - 2:00pm
- Week 2 - Evening Shift: Monday-Wednesday: 2:50pm - 12:45am, Thursday: 2:50pm - 12:05am
- Peak Period Requirement: From the end of July, 1 Sunday night shift every 3 weeks
The Person
- Experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience driving safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Food or FMCG manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
Package & Benefits
- £50,000 base salary
- 15% shift allowance (total package just under £60,000)
