About you You'll be an experienced Full Stack, Front End or Backend Engineer with strong TypeScript expertise and a genuine interest in developing robust, scalable and high-quality software. You'll ideally have experience with: TypeScript, JavaScript, React and contemporary front-end technologies Backend development using TypeScript, Java, C# or another object-oriented language REST APIs, GraphQL and WebSockets AWS and modern cloud technologies Microservices and event-driven architectures SQL and NoSQL databases Automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing Terraform and containerisation technologies CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices Git and Agile development environments You'll also be someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, constructively questioning existing approaches and supporting the development of less experienced engineers. What you'll do Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software solutions Drive continuous engineering and development improvements within the team Collaborate closely with architects, technical leads and fellow engineers Contribute to broader system architecture and technical decision-making Refactor and modernise existing systems in line with the target architecture Help deliver scalable, reusable and maintainable services Champion strong engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle Mentor and support junior and developing members of the engineering team The team is responsible for its services throughout the full production lifecycle, so there may occasionally be a requirement to assist with production incidents outside standard working hours.
