VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large organisation with the recruitment of a Marketing Communications and PR Officer to join their team based in Newtownabbey.

The Marketing, Communications and PR team plays a key role in promoting services, managing reputation and delivering strategic communications that support organisational objectives.
About you
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Studies or a related discipline (or 3+ years' relevant experience)
- Minimum 2 years' experience across marketing and communications activities
- At least 1 year's experience in public relations
- Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong copywriting, content creation and media relations skills
- Excellent project management and organisational ability
- Creative thinker with a proactive and solution-focused approach
- Full driving licence (or access to suitable transport)
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required
What you'll do
- Develop and deliver marketing, media and communications campaigns across multiple channels
- Create engaging content including press releases, website updates, social media content and promotional materials
- Manage relationships with media outlets and respond to press enquiries
- Monitor media coverage and prepare evaluation reports
- Support website content management and digital communications activity
- Coordinate photography, video and creative assets for campaigns
- Prepare speeches, briefing materials and communications content for senior stakeholders
- Support civic events, awareness campaigns and community engagement initiatives
- Evaluate campaign performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
