VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large organisation with the recruitment of a Leisure Attendant to join their team based in Newtownabbey.

About you
- Hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent
- Strong swimming ability and confidence in water rescue techniques
- Experience working as part of a team, ideally within the leisure industry
- Strong customer service ethos with a professional and respectful approach
- Flexible attitude to working hours and duties
- Commitment to health & safety, safeguarding, and equality standards
- Willing to complete enhanced Access NI checks
- Desirable: Hold a recognised First Aid qualification
What you’ll do
- Supervise customers across all leisure facilities to ensure safe and enjoyable use
- Provide a professional lifeguarding service for pools and water facilities
- Respond to emergencies, first aid incidents, and evacuations as required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation
- Complete safety checks, incident reports, and relevant documentation
- Assist customers, promote leisure services, and support membership initiatives
- Report hazards, faults, and maintenance issues promptly
- Support opening, closing, and security procedures within the centre
