We are partnering with a leading FMCG and supply chain organisation to recruit an HR Co-ordinator for a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, people-focused business operating in a fast-moving, multi-site environment. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Administrator or Senior HR Administrator who is looking to step up into a broader, more hands-on HR Co-ordinator role. You will gain valuable exposure to generalist HR activity, working closely with managers and an experienced HR Business Partner team across multiple sites.
The Role
Reporting to the HR Business Partner team, the HR Co-ordinator will support the delivery of day-to-day HR activity across several operational sites, gaining experience across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, probation, offboarding, retirement, HR KPIs, payroll queries and employee changes
- Supporting managers with employee relations processes, including investigations, disciplinary meetings and hearings (with guidance from senior HR colleagues)
- Preparing documentation and drafting correspondence for HR and employee relations matters
- Advising employees and managers on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application
- Supporting site-level engagement, communications and culture initiatives
- Assisting with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinating training and learning activity, including scheduling, tracking attendance and acting as a key point of contact for learning and development
- Supporting performance management and absence management processes
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with HR data standards
- Building strong working relationships across operational teams and management
About You
You will be an organised, proactive and people-focused HR professional who enjoys working in a busy, operational environment.
Essential requirements:
- Third-level qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline
- CIPD qualification (or working towards)
- Experience in an HR Administrator, Senior HR Administrator or HR Co-ordinator role
- Exposure to employee relations processes and general HR operations
- Good working knowledge of employment legislation
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
- Flexibility with working hours, including occasional attendance at night-shift meetings
Desirable:
- Experience in a unionised environment
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or retail
