Client: Leading Main Contractor that has been operating for over 20 years across the UK and Ireland, consistently delivering high quality solutions. They work across various sectors carrying out a range of projects including new build, fit-out and facilities management.

Role Summary: Specialising in Electrical measured term contracts, take a leading role in the commercial delivery of maintenance contracts. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management, valuations, and contractual compliance. Work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure that works are delivered within budget and in line with contractual and technical requirements. Contribute significantly to the commercial success and operational efficiency of mechanical term service contracts.

The Role:

  • Cost Management
    • Prepare accurate accounts for Electrical maintenance projects, including pricing of schedule of PSA and/or NSR schedule of rates under MTC contracts
    • Take ownership of cost control and value engineering throughout project lifecycles
  • Valuations and Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, final accounts, and variation claims
    • Identify, price, and negotiate variations in accordance with the relevant contract
    • Deliver monthly cost/value reconciliations and financial progress reports
  • Contractual and Project Delivery Support
    • Ensure commercial and contractual compliance across MTC contracts
    • Attend project meetings, site inspections, and liaise closely with delivery teams
    • Provide cost advice and support to project and operational teams at all stages
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients QS' and stakeholders
    • Communicate clearly and professionally regarding financial and contractual matters
    • Ensure client requirements and expectations are met within agreed budgets and timeframes

The Ideal Person:

  • Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor
  • Previous experience on MTC contracts
  • Experience with PSA schedule of rates and MTC pricing mechanisms
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical systems and terminology
  • Familiarity with NEC 4 standard forms of contract
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Commercially driven with a keen eye for detail and value engineering opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities across different contracts
  • Effective communicator who builds rapport with teams and stakeholders
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Full UK driving licence.
