Client: Established M&E Contractor leading the way throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland for half a century. They work across various sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, education and industrial. Overview of Role: The business has a great opportunity for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis, based in Belfast with site visits in Northern Ireland. The role will be split between the office and site. The Electrical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at any given time, ensuring projects are delivered safely, within programme, within budget and to the highest technical and quality standards. Projects are varied across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver multiple projects simultaneously within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality
- Create project initiation documentation, project budgets, project programs and relevant H&S documentation
- Ensuring full compliance to all relevant statutory and regulatory guidance standards
- Providing reports for meetings with managers
- Maintain close working relationships with clients, stakeholders, sub-contractors and internal teams to manage progress, challenges, and resolutions
- Contract supervision including issuing purchase orders, applications for payment and variation control
Qualifications Required:
- Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician
- Extensive experience working as an Electrical Contracts Manager
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong understanding and knowledge of various electrical systems
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial analysis
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good IT Skills to enable flow of information between those involved in the project, particularly Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts
- CSR Gold Card
- Full clean driving licence
