About you:
- Prior experience working as a Claims Handler, ideally within an insurance broker or insurer setting
- Solid understanding of the full claims lifecycle and core insurance principles
- Excellent organisational ability with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
- Confident using Microsoft Office; familiarity with systems such as Acturis or Open GI is beneficial
- Customer-focused mindset with a professional and proactive approach to resolving queries
- Able to successfully complete all pre-employment screening, including criminal and credit checks
What you'll do:
- Handle a diverse caseload including motor, home, commercial, liability, and personal injury claims
- Manage claims from first notification through to final settlement, coordinating with insurers, clients, and loss adjusters
- Advise customers on policy cover, claims procedures, and loss prevention where appropriate
- Work closely with both internal departments and external partners to ensure timely claims resolution
- Recognise and escalate complex, sensitive, or high-value claims when required
- Maintain compliance with FCA requirements, company procedures, and industry best practice
- Assist with reporting requirements and manage customer enquiries in a professional manner
