About the ideal candidate
- Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting within industry or practice
- Strong understanding of month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Excellent Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across the business
- Ambitious individual looking to develop into a Finance Manager or senior finance position
What the role involves
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting
- Managing month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Producing meaningful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Reviewing and improving finance processes and internal controls
- Partnering with operational teams and senior stakeholders across the business
- Contributing to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
