About you Minimum 2:1 degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline At least one year's experience in a finance role Ready to commence studying towards the CIMA qualification Strong Excel skills and experience using computer applications Good understanding of accounting principles Strong analytical and numerical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement Flexible approach with a willingness to support the wider Finance team What you'll do Support the preparation of monthly management accounts Maintain accrual and prepayment schedules Post manual journals Assist with annual budget preparation Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations Support key financial reporting for business functions Assist with year-end accounts and supporting audit schedules Assist with month-end inventory valuation Maintain and improve finance systems and procedures Prepare financial reports and analysis for management reporting Assist with grant claims and statistical returns Support effective financial reporting and budgetary control Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business Rotate through various roles within the Finance team to gain broad experience Provide ad hoc support to other areas of the wider Finance team as required For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact Jordan Brown for a confidential chat today.
