As part of the FP&A team, you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure across the Finance function while developing your technical accounting and commercial skills. The successful candidate will receive dedicated financial and study support towards achieving the CIMA qualification.

About you

  • Graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline
  • Ready to commence studying towards the CIMA qualification
  • At least one year's experience within a finance role
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and perform under pressure to meet deadlines

What you'll do

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and manual journals
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support key financial reporting requirements across various business functions
  • Contribute to year-end accounts preparation and audit schedules
  • Assist with monthly Group inventory valuation
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management reporting, grant claims, statistical returns and other business requirements
  • Maintain and improve finance systems and procedures to support effective financial reporting and budgetary control
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Rotate through various roles within the Finance team to gain broad experience
  • Provide ad hoc support to the wider Finance team as required
