An excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Foreperson to join a professional and well-established construction company operating throughout the UK and Ireland. The company delivers construction, property redevelopment, and refurbishment projects across a wide range of sectors and has built a strong reputation for quality, professionalism, and reliability. Due to new project awards, several Site Foreperson positions are available in the Newry area.
The Ideal Person
You will be an experienced Site Foreperson with proven experience working on new build and fit-out construction projects. You will have a strong trade background and be a motivated individual with the ambition to progress into site or construction management. You will be capable of leading site teams, coordinating labour, and delivering projects on time and to a high standard while taking direction from senior management.
Responsibilities
As a Site Foreperson, you will have numerous responsibilities supporting the successful delivery of projects on site. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate site records and reports, conducting risk assessments, surveying sites to mitigate issues and check design viability, liaising with engineers and the wider project team, and supporting contract negotiations in conjunction with direct and subcontract staff.
Remuneration
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE plus an attractive benefits package including private medical care, company vehicle and phone, and ongoing professional development and training.
