Are you looking for an Electrical Supervisor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH are recruiting an Electrical Supervisor to work for a leading Main Contractor, based in Newry, Northern Ireland. The role will be focused on Housing Maintenance projects.

Remuneration: c£35,000 + package

Role and Responsibilities:

  • This role will involve carrying out duties as a NICEIC Supervisor, maintaining, validating and signing off NICEIC certifications as well as overseeing the electrical team.
  • Oversee contract works including testing and remedial works.
  • Manage and document a regime of physical and technical inspection and audit to confirm that all electrical installations and assets are maintained in a manner that is fully compliant.
  • Manage and document a quality control regime to ensure the Electrical team deliver planned, preventative maintenance programmes and response repairs in accordance with the requirements of the contracts.
  • Inspect major service failures, intermittent faults and protracted repairs.
  • Inspect works in progress to ensure that the contractor is working safely in accordance with health and safety.
  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times.
  • Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately.
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed.
  • Observe & follow all manual handling practices.

The Ideal Person:

  • A proven background in a similar role.
  • Inspection and Testing 2391 or 2394/5.
  • City and Guilds 2360 Part 1 and Part 2 NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical.
  • Qualified to 18th edition standard.
  • Be capable of working on own initiative.
  • Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Have a good timekeeping and attendance record.
  • Have the ability to work with a wide range of people and be a team player.
  • Reliable & committed.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Have a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniques.
