VANRATH are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a large public sector organisation in Northern Ireland to recruit a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their very busy finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a newly created role and would suit a technically strong accountant keen to make their first move into public sector. This role is a 12 month contract with a view to being made permanent.

About you

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Excellent Excel and systems experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal with senior stakeholders

What you'll do

  • Preparation of management accounts and month end close
  • Finance business partnering with various stakeholders
  • Analysis of actual expenditure
  • Financial forecasting
  • Preparation of statutory year end accounts and liaison with the auditors
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time-to-time.
