Mechanical Maintenance Engineer About the Role: Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer seeking your next challenge? Join a thriving facilities management team where you’ll contribute to delivering top-tier maintenance services across diverse sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, leisure, and residential projects. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of various mechanical systems. From planned preventative maintenance to diagnosing faults, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding environment to apply your expertise. What’s in it for you: Salary £35,000 – £40,000 + Call out bonus Company van & fuel card Monday to Friday (DAY SHIFT) Overtime opportunity Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks in line with the asset plan. Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and electrical faults. Manage maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Conduct thorough site audits and relay effective solutions to clients. Follow established safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements. Maintain precise and up-to-date records through CAFM systems and site logbooks. Submit detailed timesheets, tracking time and material usage accurately. Respond swiftly to maintenance requests, highlighting and addressing defects or additional work requirements. Uphold professional standards, maintaining a clean and orderly work area while representing the team. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance role. Recognised qualifications in the mechanical field. Strong technical skills with a problem-solving mindset. A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent communication abilities. A full and clean driving license. Desirable (But not essential): Experience working with industrial steam boilers. Relevant boiler certification (e.g., BOAS).
