M&E Quantity Surveyor (Public Sector) VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a M&E Quantity Surveyor for 6-12 months initially with great likelihood or extension and permanent, based in Belfast. Responsibilities The post holder will be responsible in providing cost management responsibility for a diverse and geographically dispersed team of professional, technical and administrative staff carrying out work across a range of Major and Minor functions within the Infrastructure and Capital Development Division. Candidate to have the ability to carry out the following: Preparation of feasibility cost options for Minor Works projects Preparation of Price lists and pretender estimates Preparation of tender reports Administration of NEC4 suite of contracts Assessment of contractor's valuations Administration of Measured Term Contracts (MTC); specifically mechanical and electrical. Report on outturn costs of projects Administering final accounts Knowledge of mechanical and electrical works Assessment of compensation event quotations Requirements Have a Degree or higher in Quantity Surveying AND Have a minimum of three years' demonstrable post-qualification experience in providing a full range of Quantity Surveying services Or Be a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS or FRICS) AND Have a minimum of two years' demonstrable post-qualification experience in providing a full range of Quantity Surveying services OR Have a minimum of five years' demonstrable experience in providing a full range of Quantity Surveying services Demonstrable experience of successfully providing budget estimates or cost plans for construction projects Demonstrable experience in the NEC or similar Suite of Contracts, including experience in the assessment of NEC or similar Compensation Events and preparation of assessments for payment Remuneration Β£44,078, per annum, plus discount benefits.
