VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a M&E Maintenance Project Manager for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension/permanent in their Belfast Office.

Responsibilities

  • Respond on a day to day basis to requests from building users, for urgent repairs to their mechanical and electrical systems and infrastructure including kitchen equipment and other services deemed necessary.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to requests for day to day emergency maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical and Electrical Services installations and equipment in all properties.
  • Carry out regular visits to properties in relation to day-to-day maintenance problems and planned maintenance programmes.
  • Appoint and supervise contractors of various disciplines to carry out maintenance repairs and planned maintenance projects.
  • Issue and being accountable for works orders to contractors, for maintenance works and tendered projects.
  • Inspect, supervise and instruct Contractors of various disciplines in relation to the quality of work in progress.
  • Co-operate with DRD, DENI, Water Service, Local Councils, NIE and Health and Safety Inspectorate to enable maintenance projects to be carried out effectively and in compliance with relevant legislation.

Essential skills required

  • Have a HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum 2 years' post qualified experience.
  • OR Have an ONC or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum of 4 years' post qualified experience.
  • OR Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical & Electrical discipline.
  • Proven ability to achieve challenging targets and objective through the engagement of teams.
  • Proven ability of building high performance teams, delivering and achieving effective results on time and solving problems through informed decision making.
  • Proven ability of building and promoting a strong and consistent Service Delivery culture throughout a large complex and multi-site organisation.

Remuneration

£44,075, per annum, plus discount benefits.
