VANRATH are assisting one of Northern Ireland\’s most recognisable companies with the recruitment of a Material Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in one of the best company cultures in NI, with opportunities for progression.
Shifts are held over Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch). No weekend work. The role initially is a 12-month contract, with the likelihood of permanency depending on performance.
This position is based at the company\’s Newry office. There are opportunities for career advancement from this role.
Salary
Circa £35,000 + additional benefits and progression opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Order and schedule materials for delivery from suppliers, ensuring the correct quantity and delivery date to support customer service.
- Ensure deliveries are on time, in the correct containers, and in the required quantities.
- Validate supplier schedules to meet facility demands and collaborate to ensure continuous material availability.
- Resolve delivery and invoice discrepancies.
- Manage inventory levels through coordination and activities.
- Oversee scheduling and control of onward ship materials as necessary.
- Support business transformation projects, including systems, data, reporting, and ad hoc reviews.
- Coordinate and manage returnable stillages.
- Maintain SAP S4/Hana system master data for suppliers and materials.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in material planning or supply chain roles.
- Supplier management experience.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; SAP S4/Hana preferred.
