About you
- A third level qualification in Accounts (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent
- Previous experience working within cost accountancy in a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and account systems; Oracle experience is desirable
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and UK/US GAAP
- Results-driven, energetic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexible, with a willingness to cross-train within a dynamic finance team
What you'll do
- Maintain and cost machinery, materials, labour, and overheads, setting annual standards
- Review machine margins and manage inventories, including cycle counts and variance analysis
- Monitor raw material prices and control factory overheads and efficiency metrics
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes; identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Prepare month-end financial reports in a timely manner to meet reporting deadlines
- Assist in internal and external audits, and support internal control reviews
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in business intelligence and management reporting
- Provide KPI data and support financial management activities across departments
