Are you looking for a Project Manager role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH are recruiting a Project Manager to work for a leading Construction Company in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland. The business is looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new build residential project consisting of houses and apartments in the Mid Ulster area. The Project Manager will have proven experience overseeing new build residential developments and be able to come on board and hit the ground running. This is a permanent opportunity with an organisation that can provide long term career stability and progression.

Remuneration: £55,000 - £60,000 + DOE vehicle / package

Role Overview:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of new build residential houses and apartments from infrastructure and groundworks through to completion. Projects are primarily in the Mid-Ulster area.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors on site to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple new build residential developments and monitor progress against programme and budget.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, utility providers, and local authorities.
  • Review and manage project costs, valuations, variations, and forecasts.
  • Monitor infrastructure, groundworks, roads, sewers, drainage, and housing construction activities.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and programme risks.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to the Directors.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained across all sites.
  • Review contractor performance and drive continuous improvement in delivery and efficiency.
  • Manage defect resolution and project close-out activities.
  • Ensure developments meet planning conditions, technical approvals, and adoption requirements where applicable.

The Ideal Person:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
  • Experienced Contracts Manager or Project Manager.
  • Track record delivering new build houses and apartments.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to get the best out of site teams.
  • High level of Health and Safety knowledge and application.
  • Good IT Skills to enable flow of information between those involved in the project, particularly Microsoft Outlook.
  • Valid CSR card or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full driving license.
