VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation in the Magherafelt area to recruit a HR Officer for an initial 6-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of a standalone role and make a meaningful impact during a period of organisational change and growth.
The Role
Working as the sole HR point of contact on site, the successful candidate will provide hands-on generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You will work closely with management, supervisors and employees to deliver a professional, efficient and compliant HR service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all HR queries on site
- Providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practice
- Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding
- Supporting employee relations cases (informal and formal)
- Overseeing absence management and return-to-work processes
- Maintaining accurate HR records and reporting
- Coordinating training, development and compliance activities
- Supporting operational managers with workforce planning and day-to-day HR needs
About You
We are seeking a proactive, confident HR professional with the ability to work independently and manage a broad HR remit.
Essential criteria:
- Strong generalist HR experience
- Previous experience operating in a standalone or highly autonomous role
- Excellent knowledge of NI employment law
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- Manufacturing or fast-paced operational experience is highly desirable.
