Overview

VANRATH is partnering with a respected manufacturing organisation in Magherafelt to recruit an HR Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive HR team, playing a key role in delivering a professional HR service across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with managers across the business, you'll support people initiatives, ensure HR best practice and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards qualification is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and current employment legislation
  • Experience supporting employee relations, absence management and performance processes
  • Confident advising managers on day-to-day HR matters
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Able to manage a varied workload while maintaining confidentiality

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and offboarding
  • Assist with absence management, disciplinary, grievance and performance processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records, employee documentation and HR systems
  • Prepare HR reports and provide workforce data to support business decisions
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation
  • Support learning and development initiatives and employee engagement activities
  • Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships across the business to promote a positive and compliant HR function
