VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a talented CTA-qualified tax professional into their growing Derry / Londonderry office. This is a standout opportunity to step into a pure advisory-led role, working closely with senior leadership on high-value, complex projects across a diverse client base. The Role

This position is ideally suited to a motivated Manager or Senior Manager who is keen to move beyond compliance and focus on meaningful, client-facing advisory work. You will work across a broad range of projects including corporate restructuring, succession planning, M&A support, international structuring and tax planning for owner-managed businesses and large corporates.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and deliver complex tax advisory projects from planning through to execution
  • Work closely with Partners on strategic client engagements
  • Provide commercially focused tax advice to a varied portfolio of clients
  • Support transactions including mergers, acquisitions and business restructuring
  • Advise on international tax matters and cross-border structuring
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor

Requirements

  • CTA qualified (essential)
  • ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Proven experience in tax advisory, ideally within practice
  • Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax, with exposure to advisory work
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical advice into practical solutions
  • Ambitious, driven and keen to progress within a high-performing environment
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
