The Role

Working within a collaborative and supportive litigation team, you'll manage a varied caseload of claimant property recovery matters arising from insured losses including fire, flood, escape of water and impact damage.

You'll be responsible for progressing claims from initial investigation through to settlement or trial while developing strong relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues across the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include

• Managing your own caseload of property recovery claims.
• Investigating liability and advising on litigation strategy.
• Drafting Letters of Claim, court proceedings and other legal documentation.
• Obtaining witness statements and reviewing technical and evidential documentation.
• Instructing Counsel and expert witnesses where appropriate.
• Negotiating settlements with third parties and insurers.
• Progressing claims through disclosure, litigation and trial where required.
• Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with client protocols, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

About You

We're keen to speak with solicitors who have

• 0-4 years' PQE with litigation experience.
• A genuine interest in insurance litigation and property recovery work.
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence managing files and building strong client relationships.
• A commercial mindset with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• The ability to analyse complex factual evidence and develop practical legal solutions.

Previous experience in insurance litigation or property recovery would be advantageous but is not essential.
