A well established distribution business is currently recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader for its busy Belfast operation.
If you have solid warehouse supervisory experience behind you and are ready to move into your next, leadership role, this is a strong opportunity within a fast paced, service driven environment.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will take a hands on role in running the warehouse day to day, keeping output, accuracy and service levels where they need to be while bringing the team on with you.
Permanent, full time role Rotating shifts of 6:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 10:00pm 5 days from 7, including Sundays Place of work is Belfast Salary £30,000 to £32,000 plus benefits The Role Key responsibilities include: Oversee daily activity across goods in, picking, packing, loading and dispatch.
Lead and motivate a warehouse team to hit daily output and performance targets.
Deputise for the Operations Manager and support the wider running of the warehouse.
Develop team members through coaching, regular feedback and performance monitoring.
Monitor and report against operational and service KPIs.
Make sure warehouse processes, procedures and paperwork are completed correctly and to company standard.
Keep operational records accurate and track warehouse performance.
Complete routine health and safety checks, escalating or resolving any issues found.
Drive a strong health and safety culture on the floor.
Look for ways to improve efficiency, process and overall performance.
Liaise with colleagues across the operation to keep workflow moving smoothly.
The Ideal Candidate Background as a warehouse supervisor, team leader or in a similar operational leadership post.
Track record of leading a team and delivering against productivity targets.
Strong communicator who is comfortable managing people.
Well organised, with sound administration and problem solving ability.
Competent on IT, including Excel, Outlook and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Able to juggle shifting priorities in a fast moving environment.
Performs well under pressure and keeps the customer front of mind.
Flexible around hours and the needs of the operation.
Takes a proactive approach with an eye on continuous improvement.
