The Internal Audit team operates with a cross-office, collaborative approach, with approximately 70 professionals across Ireland and Northern Ireland, including around 10 team members based in Belfast. They support a diverse client base, evenly split between public and private sectors (non-financial services). Due to growth there is an opportunity to join this successful team.
What you will do:
- Support the delivery of client projects, including internal audit, controls advisory, and assurance engagements, covering planning, fieldwork, and reporting stages.
- Work within a team to assist clients in developing or enhancing their Internal Control or SOX programs.
- Prepare high-quality planning and reporting documents for management review and client delivery.
- Present engagement results to senior team members, including Senior Consultants, Managers, and Directors.
- Enhance your own and the team's technical expertise by coaching, mentoring, and leading junior team members during engagements.
- Participate in business and practice development tasks, including tender responses and client proposals.
About You:
- Proven experience in Internal Audit, SOX, and Control environments.
- Relevant degree required.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIIA, or equivalent, with a minimum of two years' field experience.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to provide effective client advisory.
- Experience working within high-performing teams and presenting findings to management.
- Proficiency in report writing, along with technical knowledge of industry standards, such as Internal Audit methodologies and SOX.
