VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading, long-established organisation within the retail and wholesale food sector to recruit a Retail Fresh Food Advisor for a permanent opportunity based in Northern Ireland. This is an exciting field-based position for someone passionate about fresh food, retail excellence, and driving commercial performance. The successful individual will play a key role in supporting store partners and operational teams to maximise category performance and deliver best-in-class standards across fresh food offerings. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a wide network of retail locations, helping implement strategic initiatives while supporting growth and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and deliver fresh category programmes and initiatives across multiple retail locations
- Work collaboratively with retail partners and store teams to maximise sales performance, profitability, and participation across fresh food categories
- Assist with the execution of seasonal campaigns and wider business initiatives
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor standards, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Deliver coaching and practical in-store guidance to key personnel on processes and best practice
- Support the rollout of new category developments and operational projects
- Assist with store onboarding activity, as well as store redevelopment and refit programmes
- Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and enhance overall retail performance
The Ideal Candidate
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a Fresh Food environment
- Previous experience within convenience retail, wholesale, or a similar fast-paced food sector would be highly advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Demonstrated experience coaching, training, or supporting teams in implementing best practices
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a field-based workload effectively
