I am currently accepting applications for pharmacy technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a pharmacy unit and build on your skills. If you are looking to make the move from a community pharmacy and into HSCNI then this is an ideal opportunity - working Mon-Fri (no weekends) - own transport is essential for this role.

Please note that the below qualifications are essential and only those who have them will be considered:

  • BTEC Level 3 diploma in principles and practice for pharmacy technicians
  • BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Cert in Pharmacy Services
  • Dispensing Certificate of the Royal Army Medical Corps or the Royal Air Force

Key Duties:

  • To dispense prescriptions
  • Participating in the preparation of bulk aseptic solutions ready for filling
  • Packing and preparing filled containers for sterilisation including submerging ampoules in dye solutions and applying autoclave tape
  • Labelling and packing of products into forms suitable for issue
  • Preparation of production rooms for non-sterile manufacturing and assembly including batch record card and label generation
  • Placing manufactured batches in quarantine and forwarding samples to Quality Control
  • Daily preparation of all equipment, screens and work areas both within and outside the clean room
  • Cleaning down of these areas at the close of day or as necessary
  • The post holder will be expected to participate in life-long learning, maintain awareness of current practice and attend such courses and training as may be deemed necessary by the Pharmacy Services Manager, Clinical Lead and/or the Head of Pharmacy

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 per annum
