The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability of production equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring the smooth running of the manufacturing operation. Your responsibilities will include: Diagnosing and resolving equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime. Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on PLC-controlled production machinery, packaging equipment and associated systems. Inspecting equipment and identifying potential faults or issues before they impact production. Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings. Troubleshooting control systems and carrying out detailed fault-finding and root cause analysis. Providing technical expertise to improve plant reliability, performance and efficiency. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities using the Mobile Maintenance Management System. Updating maintenance records, job plans and technical documentation. Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to support smooth day-to-day operations.
