VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with an established FMCG business to recruit a Junior Trading Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months' experience in trading, supply chain, buying or procurement to develop their commercial career within the FMCG sector. Working with a portfolio of suppliers, you will build relationships, support negotiations and coordinate trading activity to drive commercial performance.

- £28,000-£32,000 salary.

The Role
- Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of suppliers.
- Support the development and delivery of trading plans and agreed commercial objectives.
- Contribute to negotiations around pricing, promotional activity and trading terms.
- Monitor supplier and product performance, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with internal teams to coordinate supplier activity and resolve queries.
- Maintain accurate records of trading agreements, commercial information and agreed actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in a trading, supply chain, buying or procurement role is essential.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build professional relationships.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in developing negotiation skills.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with figures.
- A proactive approach to resolving queries and following through on actions.
- Experience within FMCG or a related sector would be advantageous.
