VANRATH are delighted to be working with a highly respected advisory firm who are expanding their Employment Tax team. This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Manager / Manager to step into a client-facing role with strong progression, varied technical exposure, and genuine influence within a growing specialist team.
The Role
This is a specialist Employment Tax position with a strong focus on share schemes, benefits, and compliance. You will work closely with a diverse client base ranging from owner-managed businesses to large corporates, advising on all aspects of employment taxes while developing your technical expertise in a high-demand area.
What You Will Do
- Manage a portfolio of clients across employment tax matters
- Advise on share schemes including EMI, CSOP and other equity-based incentives
- Oversee and review P11D and benefits-in-kind reporting
- Provide guidance on PAYE, NIC and wider employment tax compliance
- Support on HMRC enquiries and investigations
- Deliver advisory projects around remuneration planning and reward structures
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development

Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or nearing completion
- Strong experience in employment taxes, including P11Ds and benefits
- Exposure to share schemes (EMI/CSOP) is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of PAYE and NIC
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Commercially aware with an interest in advisory work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
