VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a well established agri-food and animal nutrition business on the appointment of a Commercial Operations Lead. This is a highly visible role acting as the operational extension of the Chief Commercial Officer, driving execution, coordination and commercial effectiveness right across the commercial function. You will provide the critical link between strategy and execution, making sure commercial priorities are delivered efficiently while creating capacity for the CCO to focus on strategic growth. It will suit someone with strong commercial acumen, sharp analytical ability and the organisational skill to influence and collaborate across functions and markets. Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week Salary depending on skills and experience Some travel required for customer meetings and business needs The Role Key responsibilities include: Act as the primary operational support to the CCO and commercial leadership team Coordinate and track the delivery of key commercial initiatives and strategic priorities Drive follow-up and accountability across the commercial teams, making sure agreed actions are delivered on time Support annual planning, budgeting, forecasting and business review processes Act as the central point of coordination across the CCO teams, keeping Ireland, UK and international teams aligned Coordinate commercial incentive and commission programmes, tracking performance against target and working with Finance and HR to keep schemes accurate Serve as the key day to day link with the external marketing agency, coordinating campaigns, events and customer communications Accompany the CCO and commercial teams on customer visits, capturing and driving actions to completion Design, maintain and improve Power BI dashboards that support commercial decision making Provide analysis of sales performance, customer profitability, pipeline and commercial effectiveness Prepare executive-level briefing packs and analysis for leadership meetings, customer reviews and board presentations Conduct market, competitor and commercial analysis to support strategic growth initiatives Support the Technical and Nutrition teams with diet formulation administration and transfer of diet information into the central production database The Ideal Candidate Degree or equivalent professional experience in business, commercial management, marketing, data analytics or a related discipline Minimum five years' experience in commercial operations, sales operations, commercial excellence or a comparable role Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI capability Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to turn analysis into practical action Experience working with and managing senior leadership and stakeholders Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines at once Excellent written and verbal communication Strong organisational, planning and follow-through ability Willing and flexible to travel as the role requires Desirable Experience within agriculture, animal nutrition, food production or a related industry Experience managing an external marketing agency or other professional service providers Knowledge of CRM systems, sales pipeline management and commercial performance reporting Project management qualification or equivalent practical experience Package and Benefits 5% company matched pension scheme Life assurance Medicash health cash plan and employee assistance programme Medicash reward extras Training and development opportunities Refer a friend scheme Skills: Commercial Operations Commercial Excellence Power BI Sales Operations Business Intelligence Analyst Commercial Analyst Commercial Manager Benefits: Work From Home Fantastic Benefits Package TPBN1_NI
