VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit an Assistant Director to establish and grow its Members' Voluntary Liquidations (MVL) offering in Belfast. This is a particularly exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant, auditor, professional consultant or solicitor who combines strong technical and organisational ability with the commercial mindset to help develop a growing service line. The Role As Assistant Director, you will take responsibility for the delivery of MVL assignments while playing a key role in developing and expanding the offering. The team has access to a wider UK market, creating significant potential for growth. This role therefore offers the ideal combination of technical delivery, client management and business development, with the opportunity to help shape how the service develops. What You Will Do Manage a portfolio of Members' Voluntary Liquidation assignments from commencement through to completion. Oversee the administration and documentation associated with MVL engagements. Ensure assignments are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant legislation and professional standards. Manage client relationships throughout the liquidation process. Liaise with directors, shareholders, legal advisers, HMRC and other professional stakeholders. Manage processes, deadlines and documentation across multiple assignments. Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the MVL service. Contribute to the development and growth of the UK-facing MVL offering. Build relationships with referrers and prospective clients. Support the development of the team as the service continues to grow. Experience working within a regulated professional services environment. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Highly process-driven and comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident dealing directly with clients and professional stakeholders. Commercially aware with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
