We're partnering with a growing events business in the Lisburn area to hire a part-time Accountant. This sole-charge role gives you day-to-day ownership of the finance cycle - bookkeeping, payroll support, reconciliations, and month-end - working closely with senior finance. The diary is busier around festival periods, so you'll help plan workloads in advance. Immediate start available.

About you
- Solid experience across AP/AR, bank postings/reconciliations, and month-end journals
- Comfortable taking accounts to Trial Balance and producing tidy schedules
- Confident with Excel and modern accounting software (e.g., Xero/Sage/NetSuite)
- Good grasp of VAT treatment; payroll exposure welcome
- Organised, detail-driven, and able to work independently while communicating clearly
What you'll do
- Run the purchase ledger (coding, approvals, supplier queries) and sales ledger (invoicing, cash allocations)
- Post bank transactions and complete bank/cash & balance-sheet reconciliations
- Prepare prepayments, accruals, and other journals; assist month-end close to TB
- Ensure accurate VAT coding and support return preparation
- Support payroll processing (data collation, checks, journals) and maintain compliant records
- Produce aged creditor/debtor reports with clear variance commentary
- Maintain tidy documentation and contribute to process improvements
- Help plan workloads during busy festival periods to meet deadlines
