An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well‑established and growing engineering manufacturer as a Lead Electrical QA/QC Engineer. This is a key role within the business, ensuring all electrical systems and assemblies are delivered to the highest standards within a modern, fast‑paced production environment.

The Role

You will take ownership of electrical quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring all installations and assemblies meet required standards with a strong focus on Right First Time (RFT) delivery. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a qualified electrician with QA/QC experience who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process and working directly with production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Control (QC)
  • Carry out detailed inspections of electrical installations, wiring, containment and assemblies
  • Ensure compliance at each stage to achieve Right First Time delivery
  • Conduct electrical testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Raise, track and close non‑conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Support first‑off inspections and provide real‑time feedback to production
  • Quality Assurance (QA)
    • Develop and maintain QA procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs) and checklists
    • Ensure all work complies with internal quality systems and industry standards
    • Maintain accurate documentation, test reports and certification records
    • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Carry out supplier quality checks on incoming electrical components
