VANRATH are pleased to be partnering with a successful hospitality business based in Belfast City Centre in their recruitment of a Finance Manager. The organisation is looking for an experienced finance professional who can take ownership of the finance function and provide strong commercial support to the wider management team.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will have exposure across the wider business and will play an important role in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting operational decision-making and improving financial processes.
The position is initially being offered on a temporary basis with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate. Due to the immediate requirement, candidates who are available at short notice.
About you
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance position
- Strong understanding of management accounts, budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience managing financial controls and transactional finance processes
- Commercially aware with the ability to work closely with operational and senior management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Available to commence at short notice
What you'll do
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function across the business
- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking and transactional finance activities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide meaningful financial analysis
- Monitor revenue, costs, margins and overall business performance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes
- Work closely with operational managers to improve financial performance and cost control
- Maintain robust financial controls and ensure accurate financial records
- Support payroll, VAT and other statutory financial requirements
- Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and efficiency across the finance function
